Secure Upload Links Now Available for Unfiled

Modified on: Wed, 17 Sep, 2025 at 11:37 PM

Extend File Upload Requests to the Unfiled section—collect files securely via specific or generic links, all in one place.

We’ve expanded the File Upload Request feature to include the Unfiled section of a vault. This means you can now generate a secure upload link that delivers files directly into Unfiled—giving you the flexibility to collect first and organize later.

Whether you choose a specific link for a single client or a generic link for multiple contributors, documents will safely land in Unfiled until you’re ready to review and move them.

What’s New:

  • Secure Links to Unfiled: Create file upload requests that target the Unfiled section.
  • Specific or Generic Options: Choose who can use the link—individual clients or anyone you share it with.
  • Centralized Collection: Gather all uploads in one place before assigning them to permanent folders.

Secure Links to Unfiled: Create file upload requests that target the Unfiled section.

Use Cases

  • Onboarding New Clients: Accept a batch of files without needing to pre-assign folders.
  • Ad Hoc Requests: Let collaborators drop in documents quickly when folder structure isn’t defined yet.
  • Team Collaboration: Use generic links to collect files from multiple parties in one secure location.
  • Family Document Collection: Gather personal files like tax documents, insurance forms, or wills from family members without worrying about folders.
  • Event Planning: Collect RSVPs, photos, or permission forms from friends and family in one secure place.
  • Personal Projects: Send links to collaborators for shared projects, drafts, or media files directly to Unfiled before sorting them.
