Moving folders within your vault can help you organize your documents and subfolders effectively. Depending on the type of folders you are trying to move and your current role, you will have different permissions. Follow these steps to move a folder:
Right-click on the folder you want to move.
Select "Move" from the Actions menu.
Choose the new location for the folder.
Click on Move to complete the process.
Restrictions on Moving Folders
The ability to move folders depends on your role and the type of folder:
Personal & Business Folders: All users can move subfolders within these folders.
Company Folders:
- Vault owners, managers, and trusted advisors cannot move company folders or documents uploaded by administrative users.
- Primary owners, co-owners, and full access collaborators can only move folders under the company folder that were created by them or another collaborator.
- Additionally, all users have restrictions on moving the first two levels of a company folder.
- Global folders cannot be moved at any level inside the client vault.
